Samsung Galaxy 4

This is a work I made at the Framestore Design Lab. I worked in a group with 3 highly skilled developers, a producer and a designer. We had to realise an interactive system to be installed in all the major mobile shops in UK, that showed the latest devices by Samsung. The first part of my job was prototyping all the possible UI for the system, The second part was creating all the animations for the final UI and the icons, thinking about the best way of the design to move across the screen in a catchy and flawless way. The third and the last part was interfacing with the developers department to make sure that all the assets where in the right place and in the correct format. Although the job was highly stressful with long nights and at a very high pace, I managed to deal with the pressure and I thoroughly enjoyed all the steps. In fact I think the outcome and the result of what we achieved was brilliant. more info here

CBRE – Sustainability

CBRE Sustainability is a responsive microsite made in HTML5 and Javascript. I was hired by CBRE and worked in direct contact with the client as a creative director. My role consisted in designing the UI and the UX and managing a group of developers. The greatest challenge for this job was implementing a cross-platform code for animating the interactive cube that would workon different browsers and devices. here is a demo

Honda EICMA

See the virtual tour This was a massive job I made for D-Wok. I had to produce all the video content for the Honda Stand at the EICMA Fair in Milan. The Honda stand was impressive, the biggest of the fair. It was made of 7 totem (3 x 42inches HD screens) + 2 video stations + a massive LED wall + 3 circular LED walls all managed with a MATROX® system. My Tasks were initially to create the style for the totems inspired by the concept of the mirror and the reflection, then realising 7 video for the respective 7 motorbike models presented at the fair. The following step was creating animations for the 3 LED walls. Finally following the show in real time at the fair, checking that all the videos were synchronised and that everything was working fine.

ENIG – short movie

read about the full project Exterior Day Interior Night is an experimental short film for projection or installation. The title is a play on words with clear references to cinema screenwriting but it can also be construed as a metaphor for a psychic state: it is dark outside but there is light inside. I left it to the four individual words to describe this film by omitting punctuation to “free” them. Each word becomes a key word of this story. This is the story of a man who has reached rock bottom. The need to resolve his existential crisis leads him to make a radical choice. The narration, although important, is only a pretext for my personal search for the use of images and video as means of communication. ENIG was shown at various festivals in Italy (2010 Turin Film Festival, 2010 Piedmont Film Festival, 2012 Epizephiry Film Festival) where it was favourably received by audiences and critics. In 2013 it has been showed as installation in London at “Untouchable – Scream your autobiografy” curated by Franko B.
